Welcome to our Year 6 page! We are a terrific team of dedicated learners who are always trying to be the best we can be. Alongside us, we have an amazing group of teachers who make our learning experiences interesting, memorable and thought-provoking. They are: Mr McKenzie, Mrs Morris & Miss Taverner and Mr Russell. We are also very fortunate to be joined by our fantastic teaching assistants; Mrs Morris, Miss Taylor, Miss Cattell, and Mrs Jayes and Miss Love who support us with our learning.

This year, as well as working hard on our core learning, we are looking forward to starting our new topics:

• Britain at War

• Frozen Kingdom

• Maafa

While learning about these wonderful topics, we will aim to be creative with our thinking and our ideas; show confidence when completing challenging tasks and be curious about how far we can take our own learning.

Another important part of our learning in Year 6 is to prepare for the big world of secondary school and as such, we will need to become more organised and more confident both academically, socially and emotionally.

To do this, we will show resilience and perseverance when challenged, collaborate to find solutions when stuck and ask thought provoking questions to deepen our understanding.
